How to Prepare a Wholesale Tyre Enquiry

Grenlander L-MAX9 tyre showing its tread and sidewall

A useful wholesale tyre enquiry identifies what you need, how many you need and where the order is going. Send the pattern name, complete size, load and speed ratings, quantity and delivery postcode together. Include your company and contact details so the supplier can follow up without first having to identify the business.

Download a wholesale enquiry worksheet

Use the same worksheet to record your request, the supplier’s reply and your workshop’s approval. Downloads are free to access without an email address or newsletter subscription.

The worksheet records the line reference, requested model, complete size, load/speed rating, PR or other markings, sidewall option, quantity and delivery postcode. Keep the supplier’s quoted specification, GST/freight/validity basis, supply confirmation, alternative approval and order or quote reference alongside the request. The CSV file can be opened in spreadsheet software; the PDF has a blank sheet and a demonstration sheet.

Worked example: L-MAX9 catalogue specification

Demonstration only: L-MAX9 — 185R14C, 102/100R, 8PR, BSW. These specification fields come from the website’s current catalogue record, checked on 21 September 2026. Enter your own quantity and postcode; leave price, supply and alternatives awaiting the supplier’s response. This is not a stock confirmation, quotation or vehicle fitment approval.

Give each requested specification a separate row. Do not assume a different sidewall version or load/speed rating is interchangeable. Check the actual requirement and obtain approval for any proposed alternative before ordering.

Start with the exact model

Use the model name from the product page rather than a description such as “the aggressive tread” or “the budget passenger tyre”. Several patterns may serve a similar category while offering different specification ranges. If you are comparing options, name each one and explain what remains undecided.

For example, a request for MAGA A/T TWO should identify that pattern specifically. A general request for an all-terrain tyre can start with the all-terrain range comparison, followed by the required size and operating use.

Copy the complete specification

A wheel diameter alone does not identify a tyre. Record the full size designation, the load index and speed rating, plus any construction or load marking required by the vehicle documentation. For a commercial or truck application, include any relevant single or dual load information and intended wheel position.

Use the specification table on the model page. Each size-row enquiry link helps carry the model and selected size into the trade form. Check the copied information against the requirement before sending it; a product listing is not a vehicle fitment approval.

Separate quantities by specification

If an order includes several sizes or models, give each specification its own line. A total quantity alone can hide which variants are needed. Explain whether you need a quote for a specific order or are planning a wider product range.

Field Information to provide
Pattern Exact Grenlander model name, or models being compared
Specification Full size, load and speed ratings and required markings
Quantity Quantity for each model and specification
Destination Delivery postcode; add site details where relevant
Business contact Company, contact name and email; phone if useful

Ask for the commercial details that still need confirmation

Request confirmation of current supply, price, delivery arrangements and the applicable ordering terms. Do not treat the manufacturer’s full catalogue range as Australian stock. If your requested variant is unavailable, ask for options and have suitability checked before accepting a different specification.

A request you can adapt

We are enquiring for [company]. Please check [Grenlander model], [complete size and ratings], quantity [number], for delivery to postcode [postcode]. Our intended use is [brief description]. Please confirm availability, pricing and delivery arrangements. Contact: [name and email].

Replace the bracketed information with your actual requirements. For mixed orders, attach or paste a separate line for each specification.

A mixed-order enquiry for a tyre shop

Keep the business details at the top, then use one line per requested variant. The template below is for an enquiry, not an order confirmation. Replace every bracketed field before sending it.

Business: [company] · Contact: [name and email]
Delivery postcode: [postcode] · Required-by date: [date to check with supplier]
Purpose: [customer booking / workshop stock / comparison quote]

Line 1: [model] | [full size and ratings] | [quantity]
Line 2: [model] | [full size and ratings] | [quantity]

Please quote each line separately and identify unavailable variants. Please confirm the price basis, whether GST and delivery are included, quote validity and expected dispatch and delivery arrangements. Please contact us before substituting any model or specification.

Turn the reply into a clear purchasing decision

Match each quoted line against your original request. Record any quantity change, proposed alternative or outstanding question alongside that line. If you need tyres for an existing customer booking, confirm supply timing before promising the fitting appointment.

Keep the supplier’s quote reference with the job or stock request. Once your workshop has approved the specification and commercial details, follow the supplier’s order-confirmation process. A submitted website enquiry alone does not reserve stock or confirm an order.
